Divine Strawberry Jam Butter Cookies
I think when it comes to cookies, this next recipe got to be one of my favorites. Butter cookies are always a great win in my kitchen so the combination of a moist butter cookie with a sweet jam is simply heaven!
These cookies not also look good they taste great as well, preparation is simple and even the kids can help in making these circle sweets.
What You’ll Need:
- 7 ounces of room temperature butter
- 12.5 ounces of regular flour ( around 2.5 cups)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup of milk
- 3.5 ounces of powdered sugar
- Strawberry jam / or any jam at your choice
How to Make
Start by hitting your oven to about 350ºF. In a food processor or even by hand, add the flour, salt and powdered sugar, and mix. Then add the butter ad milk and mix until you get a dough which is soft and smooth. It’s important to let the dough rest a bit, so plastic wrap the dough and refrigerate for at least 45 minutes.
Once the dough is cold, it is ready to be used, Roll the dough on a floured baking sheet to just under a ¼-inch in thickness. Using a round cookie cutter, cut out rounds from the dough. This dough should be enough for about 40 cookies, so once you cut out 20 cookies, start cutting the extra hole in the next 20 cookies.
When the cookies is starting to look a bit golden its time to take them out, should be around 15 minutes of baking. Move the ready cookies so they can cool down.
