Baby Finger Food: Simple Yam Balls
Around the age of 9 months, professionals recommend you to give your baby a chance to experience with finger food. Finger food is important since this is basically the first step in teaching your baby to eat independently. I always look for easy to make baby food recipes.
Beside giving your baby the chance to experience with food, it’s also important to expose them to different kinds of food. Making veggie balls is super easy, you can pretty much make this recipe with any kind of vegetable you wish.
Here’s what you’ll need
- 1 Medium Yam
- 1 Small Potato
- Bread crumbs
How to Make
It’s pretty easy, peel the yam, cute to cubes and boil in water till soften- do the same for the potato. Puree the Yam and Potato together. Start to add the bread crumbs – add until you get a nice mix you can work with and doesn’t crumbles. I used a cookie cuter to great those plate rounds but you can make them in any shape you want, just make sure that thickens is no more then a inch. One the rounds as ready, place 2-3 tablespoon of quality olive oil in your pan and fry each side till golden. You can store in the fridge up to 3 days.
